Craving Sweets? Try out these places

Colin and I have lived in Vancouver our entire lives, and we wanted to create a list of top spots that we, as locals, frequently revisit. Here is a small list of desserts we have had in Burnaby. Note this is excluding any bubble tea joints!

Table of Content:

  1. La Saison de patisserie
  2. Teras BEAN
  3. Small Victory Bakery

La Saison de patisserie

La Saison de patisserie is a beautiful bakery that specializes in exquisite, French-style cakes and pastries. We loved that they had whole cakes to order from like a matcha cake which is our favorite type of cake. We decided to get some pastries while we were here. We got the Peep (The bird that is a Lavendar Blueberry),Doubled Baked Halzenut Croissant, and an Eal Grey Croissant. We loved the Peep as it was fruitful, smooth and delicious.

Teras BEAN

The cafe offered a relaxing atmosphere with plenty of seating and a very clean space. We loved their cream puffs, especially the Oreo, Coffee, Strawberry, and Original flavors, which featured a flaky, soft pastry and a generous amount of cream. While the price was a bit expensive, the quality was definitely worth it. Our only suggestion is that it would be helpful to have signs on the dessert fridge to label each item.

Small Victory Bakery

Small Victory Bakery was a place our cousin invited us to try as it was a new shop. We decided to get a few croissants like Almond Croissant, Croissant Donut Pistachio Cream, and Apple Turnovers. We really enjoyed the Almond Croissant as it had amazing filling with tons of almond! We enjoyed the pistachio cream even more. We highly recommend giving it a try.

Conclusion:

These local spots showcase a diverse range of treats, from the elegant, French-style pastries at La Saison de patisserie to the artisan baked goods at Small Victory Bakery. We will be trying more desserts, but we decided to just try these locations for now.
