Standing tall at the edge of the shopping center, the Ferris Wheel provides breathtaking panoramic views of Kobe’s skyline and harbour. During the time of our travel (December 2023), they had a pop-up Christmas market to celebrate the holiday spirit.

2. Harborland Umie Shopping Mall

We loved the structure at Harborland Umie as there were different pathways to get to each part of the mall.

We weren’t expecting the location be as busy but we still enjoyed the rich cultural tapestry of Kobe. We went to Kobe during the evening until late at night and the BE KOBE sign lit up the night with it’s beautiful alternating neon lights. The sign’s bold letters stand proudly against the backdrop of the sea and the city’s skyline, making it a perfect spot for taking memorable photos.
