BLVD Bistro

Colin and I were on a little brunch date and decided to try BLVD Bistro. This was actually our second attempt because the first time we came, there was a long wait, so we decided to give it another shot. We highly recommend trying it, as it’s a cozy and welcoming place for brunch. A tip is to head in early to avoid the long wait times.

Pier 7 Restaurant + Bar

Pier 7 offers incredible seafood and an impressive patio that overlooks the waterfront. We went there to celebrate Colin’s birthday and enjoyed some an old fashioned Eggs Benedict. It’s a fantastic spot for a fine dining experience, offering fresh, seasonal dishes and a lively bar scene, all set against the beautiful backdrop of the Vancouver skyline.

Vomero Coffee House

We recently visited a charming cafe and were impressed by its clean, appealing atmosphere and ample seating, even on a busy weekend afternoon. We ordered an Iced Matcha Latte, a Mocha Latte, and a Banana Loaf to share. Their menu had a great selection of gelato, sandwiches, and drinks, but our favorite was the delicious Mocha Latte, which was not too sweet. We would definitely go back to try their pastries and sandwiches.

NOMAD Coffee & Bakery

NOMAD has an amazing atmosphere with its green aesthetic, open-concept windows, and ample seating. We tried a variety of items, including an Iced Latte, Iced Beetroot Latte, and a Vegan London Fog Scone. While the London Fog scone was a bit too sweet, the Beetroot Latte was delicious and definitely a must-try. A helpful tip to remember is that you must bring your own mug for takeout, as they do not offer disposable cups. Overall, we had a great experience.

Delany’s Coffee House

We went to Edgemont Delany’s Coffee House to meet up with some friends. We didn’t know it was a Vancouver chain cafe, but we did enjoy their food selection and drink options. We had ordered an Iced London Fog Latte, Iced Coffee Latte, and a Panini Sandwich. The panini was delicious, but the drinks were flat in our opinion. We wished it was more flavorful and strong.

Honey Doughnuts & Goodies

Colin took us on a date to Deep Cove, where we had to try the famous Honey Doughnuts & Goodies. We ordered doughnuts and a classic breakfast bagel before our kayak trip. The doughnut was good, but we found it to be a bit too heavy and doughy to fully enjoy. In contrast, the breakfast sandwich was delicious, especially with their homemade bagels.

Seaside Provisions:

Located in North Vancouver, Seaside Provisions is a sophisticated yet relaxed spot. We went during happy hour and we had a big craving for oysters. They had buck a shuck here so we decided to go all out and get 54 pieces worth! We also decided to try the lobster and prawn roll which was delicious, but we actually enjoy the side salad more than the lobster and prawn roll.

Conclusion:

Our exploration of North Vancouver revealed a mix of local favorites, from the delicious brunch at BLVD Bistro and the seafood with a view at Pier 7, to the iconic, freshly made treats from Honey Doughnuts & Goodies. These spots highlight the region’s diverse and cozy culinary scene.
