Global Ring Ikebukuro
Global Ring Ikebukuro is a beautiful open-air performance space and urban park. We loved its modern design and the way it brings art and community together in the heart of Ikebukuro, often hosting events and performances. We wished we had places like this in Vancouver, BC especially how clean it is.
Tobu Department Store
Tobu Department Store, located directly above Ikebukuro Station, is an enormous retail giant offering an extensive array of products from high-end fashion to gourmet food. It is a great place to grab your essentials before heading home or to work.
Ikebukuro Station Stores
Ikebukuro Station Stores refer to the vast underground shopping areas within and around Ikebukuro Station itself. It’s a bustling maze of shops, restaurants, and cafes, and a great place to visit if you are trying to grab a quick bite/drink toward Tokyo’s busiest transit hubs.
Sunshine City Mall
Sunshine City Mall is a towering complex in Ikebukuro that goes far beyond just shopping. All in has an aquarium, an observatory, and indoor theme park. The mall was very beautiful with their plants resting seats and beautiful decor for stores.
Conclusion:
Our exploration of Ikebukuro was wonderful and we didn’t expect to love everything here in Ikebukuro. The comprehensive entertainment and shopping at Sunshine City Mall rounded out our experience, showcasing Ikebukuro’s vibrant blend of culture and commerce.
